The Wirth Wellness Podcast Episode #8- The Basics of Ancestral Living with Guest Colin Stuckert.

Description:

I was honored to have the opportunity to speak with Colin Stuckert, CEO and Founder, of Wild Foods, on the podcast this week. As a young man, Colin became interested in health and wellness, but found the typical approach to exercise and dieting, left much to be desired. A year after joining CrossFit he found the Paleo diet, where he began to pay closer attention to what he was eating, its quality and source,  while also experimenting in the kitchen with cooking real, whole, foods, and eliminating sugar. In only 30 days time, he had astounding body composition and overall health outcomes. He wondered why more people weren't talking about this. Enter the birth of his obsession with the ancestral approach to eating, and quality, sustainable sourced, food. This obsession would lead him to develop the concept of "First Principles", a lifestyle framework he would later go on to build his entire brand around- Wild Foods.

Episode Details:

Colin unpacks the fundamental elements of ancestral living, in the areas of:

  • Food

  • Sleep

  • Technology

  • Mindset

  • Movement

  • Personal Development

We also discuss:

  • The importance of autonomy, and taking personal responsibility for your health and well-being

  • Why it's critical to surround yourself with people who challenge you to grow and evolve for the better

  • And how to become less “fragile,” more resilient, and stop living for the approval of others.
